Hmm. Basically some guy looking for his dad with a film crew (because his dad used to film nature documentaries, and the TV company offered to finance the rescue if they let them film it) in the Amazon (on a river). And there's crazy shit that goes on in the River. It kind of his the monster of the week feel, based off of "local legends" (probably fake, but they seem legit enough in the show) It's filmed documentary/found footage style, the camera isn't terribly shaky though. I hear people calling it a mixture of Lost and Paranormal Activity, but I don't think it's that confusing or scary. Honestly the best thing on TV other than The Walking Dead, and waiting for Game of Thrones and Community to return, imo. I was mostly just surprised about how much better it was than Alcatraz.
