NOTD 2 Things-To-Be-Done List

    Kith NOTD Staff: Anti-Fun Wizard Skeleton

    This thread is for Arcane and I to keep up to speed on what needs doing/adjusting. It was originally internal, but it is now public because why not? Might as well let you folks know what we're up to.

    The order of operations is thus:
    1. Someone claims a task (alternately, one is assigned to them).
    2. When they feel it has been completed or implemented, they are to strike out the task.
    3. Any issues that arise with the implemented object are to be noted in the Bug Forum.
    4. When issues have been addressed, the bug thread is to be marked as Fixed and the task is to be removed from the To Do List.

    Yellow tasks are Arcane's.
    Orange objects are Kith's.
    Teal objects are Peerawatz's.

    General To-Do
    Development Priority:
    1. Bugs
    2. Enemy systems (spawn, AI, ect)
    3. Class updates (see Assault and Demo sections below)
    4. Quality of Life updates (see General section below)
    5. Mission updates
    6. User Interface (this goes to the top of the list once Sym has finished doing his thing)

    General
    Item and Unit drop pods should use the same validator that Jump does to determine casting location to prevent logic errors.
    Multiple rapidly attacking weapons (SMG, Laser Rifle, MMG) will interrupt previously given commands to attack. An example of this is an Assault with Concentrated Fire active and a MMG equipped stopping suddenly after being told to move to attack nearby enemies.
    Sidearms should have their cooldown error messages and error honk removed.

    None for right now.

    Assault [Thread]


    Recon [Thread]
    Blips should only appear on units in the Fog of War or on Invisible units within sight radius.
    Blips should not persist after the unit dies.
    Black Diamond is missing the Impact visuals and the Stun visuals on affected enemies.

    Demolitions [Thread]
    MD-5 Mine
    • Seems to have a target limit - sometimes Chain Explosives are not triggered by MD-5s
    • Damage radius should be indicated by aoe_splatterran2.dds
    • Proximity trigger radius should be indicated by AOE_splatterran2_green3.dds
    • Mass Reactive trigger radius should be indicated by aoe_splatterran1c_white.dds
    Chain Explosive
    • Damage radius should be indicated by aoe_splatterran2.dds
    Satchel Charge
    • Damage radius should be indicated by aoe_splatterran2.dds
    Provoke
    • Provoke's visuals are going to be reworked completely.
    Shield Bash
    • Lacks a visual (ProtossShieldImpactShockwave.m3 in the direction of the cast, attached to the demo - similar to how Bulwark is)

    General
    Battle-brothers, today the enemy is at our door, we know our duty and we will do it.

    Weapons
    New Assault Rifle sounds great, should be slightly louder.
    New Automatic Shotgun sounds good, should be slightly quieter.
    Pistol needs a different sound effect or for the original to be trimmed. There's a reverberation that occurs at the end that sounds awkward.
    Marksman Rifle needs a Launch sound.
    Crowbar needs Impact sounds.
    Chainsaw needs Launch and possibly a new Impact sound.


    Rifleman
    Review all sound effects and adjust them as you see fit.

    Medic
    Review all sound effects and adjust them as you see fit.

    Assault
    Review all sound and visual effects and adjust them as you see fit.
    May have to rework a few or two of the sounds..hmmm

    Recon
    Pick out visual effects and leftover sounds for abilities.
