NOTD 2: Leaderboard A long way to the top So the every-mysterious Leaderboard has been mentioned once or twice and people have been asking about it, so I'll give a rundown of what's going on to address concerns. Leaderboard Organization Each major game mode (Campaign, Survival, Black Ops) will have its own Leaderboard that will display the five highest-scoring teams at the end of a match. Qualifying for the Leaderboard Campaign: Complete the match. Survival: Die or complete the match. Black Ops: Die or complete the match. It is currently undecided if Competitive is going to have its own leaderboard due to the inherently "cheesable" nature of a PvP environment due to collusion. Scoring on the Leaderboard Where players will be placed on the Leaderboard (if at all) is deteremined by Points. Points can be influenced a variety of ways, and have no bearing on gameplay. Players earn points based on: Mission Completion: This includes main missions, side missions, and sub missions. Missions must be marked as "complete" by the game itself for it to count for points. Difficulty: Normal and Nightmare will add a flat amount of points to the end score result. Speed: No details on what "speed" will involve, but completing modes in under a certain amount of time will provide bonus points. Players lose points based on: Mission Failure: Ignoring or failing any mission will result in points being deducted. Taking Hits: Each hit (on a non-tank class) will result in a point being deducted. Deaths: A player dying will result in points being deducted.
